I am going to have to bump this since I am still again having problems with this.  I wish that some one could help me out with this.  I hate going to get gas and have to a the gas pedal down to keep it going when I start the car and it revving up to around 3k or 4 k rpms.  It gets very loud there at the gas station when doing this.  There was a cop there one time when I did that and he came over and said is there a problem. I had to tell him no that there was not and there was just a issue with my car.  Then he followed me down the road for a while to make sure that I did not do anything stupid type of driving.

It did look like that but I have to take and disable the purge valve #1 and #2 out for it to work to start properly.  I called one of the techs at AEM and that is what he told me to do and I have not had any problems since then.  But what do these functions actually do??  I am not sure as to the correct function?  Are the supposed to be disabled or are they supposed to be set how you have them?  What all functions do they do?

When you fill the tank, gas vapors get pushed into the evap. canister, once the canister is full of vapors, it fills the hose the the throttle body, then fills the intake manifold.  When you start the car, it's running rich from all those vapors.  Hence the reason why the more gas you put in, the worse it gets.

Starting when cold is another problem but that should fix the problem of when you fill up with gas.

I'd just like to bump this one.

I have a SRT-4 with the exact same problem. AFR's around 8.5:1 to 9:1 for about 2 minutes after fillup.

Please follow these new settings for the EVAP purge control and User defined PW outputs menus.  Attached is a screen shot of the window with all the settings.  These settings where just confirmed on a vehicle that has this problem with the base map settings.  Enjoy  grin

Well this is a problem that has already been fixed by most of us that use the EMS.  I had already posted a fix to the problem up above.  That is what tech up there at AEM said.

I know this is the honda forum but alot of the SRT-4 guys are having this exact same problem. It seems that the only way to fix it is to cap the purge line coming from the tank to the valve. But this really isnt a very good fix in my opinion.

If at all possible could you look into it for the SRT-4's aswell?
