aem ems is plug and play, not wiring necessary. AEM doesn't want to change that, by having you rewire your car for the TC. Now an external unit that works in combo with the aem ems for wheel sensor based TC would be an option for them.

Maybe this option could be added to the universal EMS?  I want to sell my plug-and-play box and rewire my car to work with the universal EMS anyway.

Plug n play saves hours n hours of wiring. Having seen some people's skills around a soldering gun - be happy you have plug n play for your application.

obviously setting up the traction control unit would not be for newbies with no soldering skills (I would probably crimp....maybe depends)

I would REALLY like to see some kind of traction control system that could be added on, either like the motec or racelogic......

The EMS will pretty much always have the single wheel speed 'slew rate" style traction control. Putting it in the EMS and having the customers not wire it in is not good enough for allot of sanctioning bodies.

We are developing a "stand alone" 4 wheel speed traction control system as I write this. No details except we hope to unveil it this calender year. Maybe at SEMA, if not then by PRI.

Any more word on this? I would really like to get my hands on one, especially if it will work in conjunction with an aem ecu.

How is this new box going to interface with the AEM EMS? I.e. how is it telling the EMS to turn off closed loop O2 when cylinders start being shut off, how is it going to tell the EMS to which cylinders to cut fuel and ignition, etc.? Serial/USB?

Don't tell us we have to splice all injector and ignition wires to hook this up, and that it doesn't communicate with the EMS and it can't take tell it to turn off closed loop O2 mode during TC event, etc. - cause if that's the case, it is sooo lame.

Any news? Long time passed since and still no announcement?
