Yes, the Tru Boost will display vacuum and boost. So there is no need to purchase another boost gauge.

Make sure that you hook up the ports correctly.

You will press and hold the left button for 2 seconds to change run modes, continue to press the left button to switch to desired setting. For a complete Tru Boost instruction, please follow this link. http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.php/topic,17959.0.html

Hi I got this finally and I'm experiencing an annoying problem. I'd floor it and the car would lose pressure and slow down and the RPM would hang on 4-5rpm with no boost. I have a hunch that it's the configurations of the tru boost. I'm a complete NOOB on this but what the hell do I set Scramble Boost on too? and Scramble boost time. The alarm is base on PSI correct? not those huge 40,50,80 etc. numbers like setting a & b?

One last thing what should I set SPr to?

Car is a TT Supra running on True Twin Conversion mode.

I have a 1986 Mustang SVO with a T3/T4 Hybrid Turbo. I have just had the motor rebuilt and extra Mods added. I have changed from an internal Waste Gate to an External Waste Gate with a spring pressure of 10.  I had a Manual TurboSmart Controller that you adjusted with an allen wrench. I am having a hard time understanding the instructions with the AEM TruBoost Controller. I adjusted the spring pressure to 10 but I am not sure how to set my boost pressure. I want to run about 15 pounds until I break the motor in and then got to 20 pounds. Can someone please simplify the adjustments for me. I don't understand the scramble boost and why it has an A & B Boost setting or exactly how they work. If you set A for 15 do you run 15 pounds of boost? The instructions look like it works in percentages and you have to set the percentage and then run the car to see  what the boost does and then change it again and run the car to see what it does. I am confused?Huh Also if I drive the car normal it is fine but if I get on the boost then after that it does not want to idle. You can recrank it and it idles fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have printed everything out in this posting section to look for answers.

I have a couple of questions.

The instruction manual shows the two red wires to both be switched +12v.

1) Is this correct?  Seems like one should be switched and the other always "hot".

2) If they are both switched +12v, can the wires both go to the same switched source or must they be separated?

[edit]... I had a b/s post saying "Teach these new guys the lingo, etc"..

GT pretty much handled it all right here
http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.php/topic,22528.0.html

What I'd like to have for the new guys would be a simple (but VERY CLEAR) how-to.
...might want to include a note saying "Do not mount near high heat(wastegate)". smiley

Here is a little info I dug up to help explain a bit more on the EBC's.

I'm desperate i can't figure it out with the Tru-Boost. I have a 1jz vvti motor with single turbo, internal waste gate and it seems that at 10% duty it boosts to 7lb and at 90% only to 10lb. what am i doing wrong? i need to get at least 14-15lb and i'm already about to give up. Thanks for any help.

Which boost setting did you program your 90% duty cycle on? Did you program it on setting B but are trying to verify on setting A? Double check that first.

Also, what do you have your SPr (Spring Pressure) value set at?
