after having many problems with the blitz ecu that came with the car,  i decided to switch up to the AEM EMS.

my main problem is

ECU OFF LINE

i switch back to the blitz, and it fires up.

i am using the dell laptop with the db9 connector straight to the ems.
i even went to trying USB to Serial (i then searched and i saw a lot of cons about using USB to Serial)

i dont know if this is a problem but everytime i turn the key to On to Off, i hear a high pitch sound coming from the EMS itself.

it is stock rb26 swap into s14 (i called aem already, and he said i might have to trace back the wiring)

any info or comments will help as i am feelin a bit desperate and suffering a lot of anxiety and i haven't even got the ecu to work.

thanks in advance.

double check all the 12v+ switched power wires... we did a rb20 in an s13 and the ems would not run the car b/c one of the switched power wires was not getting power when using the ems... we just wired it to a switch so the car would have a kill switch.. it worked fine once we fed that wire 12v+.   there are quite a few 12v+ constant as well as switched power wires going to the ecu, so double check em all.
