Hey all...new to your forum.  Already searched.  Anyone know of good Central Florida installer?  I'd rather have this done by someone I can yell at when the car blows up...just kidding...a pro.  Gettin' too old to install a car's replacement brain myself.  Been going to a great tuner shop locally and they recommended Central Florida Turbo (CFT) as a good tuner/chassis dyno shop.  Went over there and they say they can't work the stock brain.  So I'm looking at AEM as the best on the market with full control over engine management.  AEM's site is limited.  Even Googling produces few results for good info.  Read all the manuals, install instructions and initial tuning instructions.  Seems straightforward.  I can use PC's really well and I'm a car guy (first turbo though). Any advice, recommendations and general knowledge is seeked BEFORE INSTALL.  Thanks all!

while the install is easy, and tuning not-so-hard, its critical to get a good tune! if you do not feel comfortable, ask some local guys who they recomend. or you can register over on www.srtforums.com, and find some of the best tuners in the country, and a couple local florida guys. depending on where your at, one of my good friends is an outstanding tuner in fort lauderdale. his name is Nemo, at Rage Tek. register on srtforums, go to his section and send him a PM. tell him Tex sent you. he will get you taken care of for sure

and yes its true, at the moment the AEM is really the only solid tuning option. there are a couple computer tricks you can do, but the AEM will net you the most power, hands down

Hey All,
Thanks for the info so far. I'm on SRT Forums so I'll check out your friend over there and ask some questions about AEM. Ft. L is close enough for a weekend trip for Sylvester (plus it's a nice drive). I talked to Rolo at CFT and he was the one that said he couldn't work stock and needed aftermarket EMS. I wasn't feelin' the vibe at CFT, but I can try again and see if it's better. I am confident about tuning once I get an initial dyno down (wish I had a dyno in my backyard...lol) but I would like a little guidance for the first runs. I appreciate the responses. Thanks.

I found Nemo on SRT Forums and gave him my email and check out Rage Tek's site.  Hopefully he will drop me a line when he has a chance. Thanks again. I have some questions to ask this forum about project documentation, build timelines and mod steps. So far Sylvester's build is being websited, tons of pics and every scrap of paperwork (you never know when a sponsor may pop up or someone wants to buy him :oD ) It has less than 10,000 miles on it Shocked)! Anyway I will post a different thread instead of changing this one. Nice to meet you Tex.

If you can make it over to Tampa I can help you out. I street tune partial throttle and I use a Dyno Jet 424x for full throttle. Shoot me an e-mail if interested. Either way good luck with the car
