FTDI has new USB drivers that will automatically install. This will eliminate any problems connecting to your F/IC because the USB drivers were not installed correctly when the F/IC was first plugged in. Download the attached zip file. Unzip the file and run CDM 2.02.04.exe. The new USB drivers will automatically install.

hey, i downloaded this and opened it and clicked run but then a black window opens and then immediatly closes. I tried then to connect to the ecu but still wasn't able to. the car is an 05 scion

I dunno if your version of Windows makes a difference.
I am running WinXP SP2 AND SP3 on two machines and the FIC software and drivers installed just fine for me.
I haven't tested my Vista SP1 machine yet though..

my computer is vista home, but it has the option of switching to use xp service pack 2, but will call aem again, but before that have to finish puting back my stage 3 clutch in first, let you guys know on my progress

Just tested the FIC Software on my Vista Machine, it runs fine with no need for compatibility mode. You might want to verify that your computer is Virus/Spyware free if you are still getting errors. www.lavasoft.com for spyware clean up tool http://free.grisoft.com/ for virus clean up tool

Hope this fixes mine, I had the black window come up and disappear quickly so hopefully it downloaded and fixes the connection error. You guys getting the error where it cant connect on like 16 ports?

same issues here the drivers just wont load or recognize the usb connection...any one got any other ideas? I tried everything I can find on this
