is this a other beta than the B21 ? should be fun to test om that could fix my cut on 3500 rpm

Yes it is Z110 .... I drove it around today with no issues also. I really need to hook up my injectors so I can tune this bitch.

I hope someone from AEM will post up the beta cal for people to try. It's very nice to have Engine Management again.

Okay everything is wired back to where I had it on day one! It runs great. I put a base map in it and went for a drive. At low boost there is no knock and it runs high 11:1 A/F in boost. Seems to run great and perform well. It still needs more tuning and more fuel and more boost but initial results are great. I also want to hook the o2 wire up so I can maybe run a little lower A/F while going into boost in the low rpms because the car likes to stay in closed-loop.

TheĀ  Z110 update seems to have cured my stumble problems too. 2005 Tiburon 4cyl supercharged.

My ECU also stays in closed loop at lower boost . I can feel the power drop off a little when the ECU leans the AF during light acceleration due to it still being in closed loop. I hooked up the O2 wire and used the MAP based O2 map in the percentage mode. Set it up initally to reduce the O2 signal by 25% when the car goes into boost. I have only driven it a little like this but big difference, no sag anymore and if I use more throttle it goes into open loop and the FIC has total control.

I think the FIC is the best fuel tuner available for aftermarket boosted everyday cars.

so does anyone have an idea what they changed in the code? Why these cars where a little different then the rest? I would love to know for my own benefit.

From what I understand some ECUs will send a second very short injector pulse under certain conditions. When this happens the FIC can read the secondary fuel pulse andĀ  use it for a reference, effectively cutting the fuel off. I assume that the new software version tells the FIC to ignore these short pulses when they occur. Main thing is now it works, had a Unichip with a 5th injector before and the FIC is miles ahead of the Unichip.

Has nothing to do with injectors. This was an ignition problem. I had even gone as far as to disconnect my injectors. It was all the crank sensor.

My problem had similar symptoms but were definitely related to fuel. I could see it on the log and it went away if I removed the fuel corrections.

Really, my showed up in the fuel logs too. but was unrelated. It would show 2 duty cylce randomly because the crank sensor would not pick up the signal.

I'm sure your settings are fine. it sound like a different issue. Any CEL codes?

OKAY! False alarm the car still misses really bad.  It took about 20-25 mins of driving straight but it showed up again. After 40mins the car was undrivable. I had to pull over on the freeway and pull the AEM out. I did however hold back on chucking it out the window.  so whatever the update did helped to slow down the process but it's still there.

So what is the problem.
