NICE!  Is this file the full software install?
Yes, you can install the version 2.01 software. The original install CD and install files are not required.

Also, does this require the firmware update for the unit in order to work with it?
Yes, you will need to update the firmware in your FIC. Instructions for updating firmware can be found in the first post on this page.

I noticed the flash files are not included in the full download.  Are those files in the beta .zip download?

The flash files can be found in the C:\Program Files\AEM\FIC\  folder after you install the full download. You will want to use x131.hex.

theloudroom,
If you have added inputs & outputs using the beta software, you should only need to add circuits to the bypass plug, so that Aux In and Aux Out are connected when the bypass plug is inserted. If you are using pins 17 and 18 (Aux 2 In and Aux 2 out), you will want to add pins and a wire to connnect pins 17 and 18 of the bypass plug.

OK...I have to agree with "theloudroom" here...the diagram you posted for the new harness connections DOESN'T match what you're saying here for the bypass plug...you say that we should only have to add two circuits to the bypass plug, and I would agree with that except that my plug as well comes with pins 2-3 on the 24 pin plug already wired together...this however does not match with the diagram...

Also, you state that pins 17-18 on the 22 pin plug should be wired together for Aux 2 in/out...however, the diagram shows pin 17 to be Aux B Out, and pin 18 to be Analog In 0-5v (wideband input)...so if the diagram is correct then we can't wire pins 17-18 together onthe bypass plug...

FROM THE DIAGRAM, I propose that the proper connections on the bypass plug are as follows...

1. Get rid of the loop on pins 2-3 of the 24pin plug.
2. Pin 17 on the 22 pin connector needs to be wired to pin 2 on the 24 pin connector.
3. Connect pin 3 on the 24 pin connector to pin 6 on the 24 pin connector.
4. Leave pin 18 on the 22 pin connector open, the is the analog IN connection.

SB, please verify these connections...let us know if the diagram that was posted is correct...thank you.

Brian,

The info you've posted is correct. There are a few pinout designations floating around our servers, I may have been looking at an older version. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused, the original post will be edited.

SB: Does the F/IC have a built-in UEGO controller? I only have the sensor but not the controller.

also, what is the point of the bypass plug?

you can't just run the wideband sensor alone...you have to have a controller for it to work...and in fact, you will ruin the sensor if you try to use it without a controller...

Yes, you need the new pinout and software update in order to hook up and datalog the wideband

The purpose of the bypass plug is so that the car will run without the F/IC installed...there's alot of wiring for the unit and if you need to remove the unit for some reason you would'nt want to have to tear up and redo all that...so, you just plug in the bypass plug and remove the unit. It's also very nice when troubleshooting issues...you can narrow down the problem to something on the car or something in the F/IC by using the bypass plug.

If I want to log 2 0-5V lambdas, can I run 1 into the AUX 0-5V and the second into Analog B input, leaving the output disconnected?

apex speed technology,

Yes you could wire it that way. The FIC will log the voltage, but it won't convert to AFR or lambda. You could do this later with a spreadsheet or using a math channel in AEMLog.

OK...the logging is great, ESPECIALLY with the EUGO support.  And importing the logs into the AEM EMS Log software works great.
I was wondering if there were any plans to make it so that the logs could show up the highlighted cells on the maps?

for example, when I am logging, the active cells light up, but I cannot keep track of them and drive.  I can match them up with the AEMLog software and then pinpoint them down, but it woudl be MUCH easier if I could just load the log into the F/IC map and have it show the active cells so that I can just make adjustments right there.

Just a thought.  Keep up the good work!  And thanks for a great product!

nineteenem2, that's the first time I've heard of something like this. Where exactly are you trying to uninstall USB drivers? What exactly is the error message? Can you post a screenshot? Which version of Windows are you using?
