Hello,

I've got a couple of quick questions about this.
First of all, the oscillations/instability I'm looking for. I take it this is for the O2#1 FB Value right?
Could somebody who's managed to log this instability post a log/screen grab of the kind of thing I should be looking for?

Secondly,
The O2 FB Pro Gain. Should this graph be a straight line or should it diverge from 0 as the rev's rise?

Thirdly,
How have people been testing this? I just tried sitting on the driveway, holding the car at say 2000rpm then 2500rpm etc etc (neighbours started getting nosey at around 5000rpm!)

Lastly,
Unless O2FB Control is turned ON I take it I'll get no value at all for O2#1 FB Value right? Cause that's what I've got. Doh!

Many thanks,

Tony

I was having weird problems when i turned on o2 FB. the Afr would go way richer than the target and up in boost when the 02FB should have been off, it wasn't. it was running richer up there too. I've been messing with it more lately. Today i saw there is a o2 feedback wizard (i never said i was smart). so i checked it to see if my WB was checked and it wasn't. so i went to setup>Sensors>O2 and it shows my O2 sensor is checked there. I would have thought that since it was checked in there that it would just know what o2 sensor i was using. But no. I selected my O2, in the feedback wizard and booom. it works now. So the first thing you should do when messin with O2 feedback is select your O2 sensor in the feedback wizard. or at least check it. the manual says nothing about it nor does it in this thread.

Cliff notes:
Problem: O2 running richer than target and still affecting the map when it should have been off. ie O2 FB maximum load.

Solution: O2 feedback wizard didn't have my O2 sensor selected. I would think it should be mentioned in the manual.

Brian, Well I'll be damned.   My sensor isn't even selected (no checkmark).

Very curious to see how it drives on the way home today from work. grin

Thanks dude

Checked my calibration, everything is correct, O2*1 FB is ON for all 6 injectors.
Another hope to fix this problem died  huh  My gas milage hurts my wallet badly

I too experienced this problem when I first began playing with O2 Feedback years ago.  I thought I had everything setup properly, but the car kept running pig rich at low load areas including idle so I decided to just disable O2 Feedback.  About a year ago, I decided to play with it again because the gas mileage was really putting a squeeze on my wallet.  Not to mention, I was constantly replacing fouled spark plugs.  I eventually realized that my mistake was that I had used a +10% value in both my O2 FB Rich Limit and O2 FB Lean Limit instead of a +10% value in the Rich Limit and a -10% value in the Lean Limit.  This simple negative number mistake kept me from using one of the best features of the EMS for a long time!

My old post ^, I was never able to get O2 feedback working. Last year when I switched over to v.1.19 it worked  grin , I did no other changes to my calibration file. Weird

Having a issue setting up my 02 feedback, I set up my target af map where I want it. Then when I select my wideband for the 02 feedback wizard, my target af map goes to 12.5 everywhere. Now if I try and select the wideband sensor first, as soon as i change the target af map the sensor becomes UNCHECKED in the 02 sensor feedback wizard....Am i missing something ?

^^ That just means you selected the preset calibration for that particular sensor then modified it so it no longer suits said 'calibration'.

i have heard of a minimum RPM for 02 feedback, i tend to get the death spiral at idle and it annoys the hell out of me.  i love o2 feedback, but not at idle.  is there any way to turn this off at idle, and have it turn on at load or certain rpm?

To disable O2 feedback at idle, open the O2 feedback template (Fuel>>O2 Sensor Feedback>>O2 Sensor Feedback), and increase the O2 FB Minimum RPM to something higher than what you idle at. For instance, if your car idles around 900 RPM, try setting O2 FB Minimum RPM to about 1100 RPM.

is this not in v1.11?

my aem is a bit different, i am using a custom firmware for my car.  i can find it in a custom map, but in my maps minimum o2fb rpm isn't an option

"O2 FB Rate
Units: mS
Description: O2 feedback base timer for both proportional and integral terms. This is how often the air fuel ratio is looked at to determine the correction.
Typical Use: A smaller number gives a faster response by effectively increasing the gain. This should be the same as the sampling rate of the O2 sensor being used. A typical value is 65.59 mS."

What's the sampling rate of AEM's Gauge Type UEGO?

Helo,

how do I disable EMS to consider signal from sensor #1 input? I've only got one sensor and it's wired to the 2nd sensor input..
