This isn't a stutter it's a "wave". I've found that oif I rev at part throttle it will hold better - my settings still aren't optimal but I've had no chance to play with it. As loud as my exhaust is I cannot simply sit in my driveway playing with this

I would switch your fuel and ignition cut RPM or bring down the ignition cut to equal to the fuel cut. Right out of the AEM manual:
Fuel Cut 2nd
Units: RPM
Description: User defined RPM to enter the secondary fuel cut rev limiter.
Typical Use: Naturally aspirated engines will use this for soft launches
whereas turbocharged vehicles may not cut fuel to encourage anti-lag spool up.
Ignition Cut 2nd
Units: RPM
Description: User defined RPM to enter the secondary ignition cut rev limiter.
Typical Use: Naturally aspirated engines will use this for soft launches whereas turbocharged vehicles may use this to encourage anti-lag spool up.
Also the stutter boxes I know of cut ignition not fuel. (MDS DIS2)

My 2 Step is holding at a fairly consistant threshold. I have it set to only cut ignition and it is set fairly conservative. I have ign cut 2 rate set to about 20% and ign cut 2 + at 15%. Fuel is not being cut at all. Try it and see if that helps.

Ya', a mistake was made in the menus! You can either use the Full List or modify the menus. I've modified mine for that and I've also added various different shortcuts to different log options. I'll attach them here, suggest you export\backup your's first before using mine though so you can go back...
Hrm, crap cannot attach files here
Shoot me an e-mail if you're interested in the menu setup I'm using...

Mine is:
Fuel cut 2 rate - 40%
Fuel cut 2nd 3200RPM
Ign Cut 2 Rate - 85.9
Ign Cut 2nd 3800RPM
Honestly - it feels crappy
It will rev up, then sort of cut and free fall. Feels almost like a really bad surging idle except at high RPM. My settings obviously aren't too hot and I'd appreciate hearing form anyone that has set this up to just sort of hang at a specific RPM where boost can be built up some. I think I'm simply cutting too much too quickly but I've NOT had time to fool with this. I made the mistake of having Automapping on and bumping this one - it put some NASTY holes in my fuel map that cut fuel 100% when I'd hit those points and it almost left me stranded in an intersection
Not hard to fix once I figured it out but I've been a little hesitant to play with this ever since
It doesn't help that my exhaust is loud and revving in the driveway or anywhere else is pretty obnoxious
Will play with it again when time and opportunity present themselves...
BLKMGK,
I was fooling around with it tonight and found that you will need to reduce your cut rate percentages to prevent the idle surge feeling. I haven't set it up where I would like it yet, but I reduced the percentages for both fuel and ignition in 10 percent and the amplitude of the surging reduced. I think the percentage rates need to be different than the primary rev limiter because here the car is not moving, so the flywheel effect of the wheels drivetrain etc is reduced so the rpms dro[p much more quickly.
EDIT: I was playing with it again and realized that the rpms really weren't surging much, maybe only by a couple 100 rpm. The tach was fooling me because it takes it's signal from the coil ,so when spark is cut the needle drops way down, making it seem like revs are falling fast.

Yeah, I'm still messing with it too and I haven't found a combo that works with all of the following:
-quick studder
-builds good boost
I can get slow studder and good boost or quick studder that goes nuts after a few seconds, doesn't build boost and does crazy ass backfiring that's loud as hell.

I've been messing around with this thing at a drag race and it doesn't work as well as I would have thought (at least with the settings I used).
If I modulate the gas and hold 4500 rpm, the car launches much harder than if I set the 2 step to as high as 6000 rpm. Using the spark retard helped some, but the car tends to bog a but even at 6000 rpm. Any ideas?

I have been playing with this tonight, here are my settings :-
2Step Input-----------Switch is always on
2Step Fuel Cut---------3800
2Step Fuel Cut +-------0.00
2Step Fuel Cut Rate---0.00
2Step Ign Cut----------3500
2Step Ign Cut +--------60.16
2Step Ign Cut Rate----19.92
2Step OK Below VSS--10
Doesn`t really generate boost just pops alot and increases the EGT.
Anyone else got this working for boost yet?
Regards
Wes

I make about 7PSI on the following settings:
Switch Always ON
2step Fuel Cut 5500RPM
2Step Fuel Cut+ 14.8
Fuel cut rate 0
2step Ignition cut 4600
2step Ign+ 30.08
2step Ign Cut Rate 39.84
VSS - 10mph
Not played with it much since it's so loud - only at the track... Try raising the RPM some to smooth it out.

Thanks, i will give that a try tomorrow.
Is the extra temp i am seeing on my EGT (mounted in downpipe) something to be concerned about or is there a reason for this?

It's burning fuel in the exhaust - not a problem for a short period of time but I wouldn't hold it for long periods of time...
