Yes, I've used a switched input off the top of my clutch. I don't recall which one it was but I'm sure I've got it in one of my saved calibrations. I stopped using it only because the switch on my clutch was too sensitive. A Magnetic Reed switch is the best way to go rather than something liek the OEM CC switch on my car - I've just not had time to wire it up is all.

Anyone have some nice settings for an NA car's 2 step?  About to start tinkering and I'm not sure if I should use much higher cuts than the turbo stuff posted here (I'm assuming so) or what.

Has anyone tried using Justin's anti-lag/2-step settings on a 6-speed car yet?  What was the outcome?  What kind of switch/relay setup did you use?

Has anyone tried the new 2 step setup in v1.11 yet?

If so what settings and how much boost did you build?

 Cool

There's no more "settings" in 1.11.  Just run the 2Step or Main rev limiter Wizards for hard or soft cuts then set your target RPM.  Use the Antilag function if you want to build lots 'o boost.

I tried the new 2-step today for about 5 mins and set at 3000rpm I got 6psi after about 3 seconds..

Sorry that doesn't help much... but seems to work 100000x better then the previous version.

I'll report back when i have more time to play with this.. wink

OK the reason i said it was because on the update guide you say you have now added ign retard to the 2step, surely ign retard would be better for building boost rather than cut, or am i missing something here?

Actually, you need both to build the most boost.  Cutting the ignition allows unburned fuel to ignite in the exhaust manifold.  This adds thermal energy to the turbine side...and makes a lot of noise.

You'll always build some boost using one or the other only (either cut or ignition retard) but to get the most benefit, you need both.

You always had both.  We just added a little more flexibility.  The Alt function can be used to retard ignition timing.  That's what everyone is using now.

Read this thread.  Found through a search using "Alt Function".

What is "Retard Limit Rev"? How is it different than the fuel/ignition cuts?

What is "2step Retard Rev"?     - v1.11
