The install files are in a ZIP format. Once it's downloaded, you will need to extract the files by using Winzip. Hope this helps.

For instance, if you plan to install the FIC in most Dodge/Chrysler, Mazda or Hyundai vehicles, you will need to flash the slave chip to z110.hex firmware. If you plan to use the new V3 software, you will need to flash the main chip to x300.hex.

I'm not shure, What slave hex need to use in a SR20DET Nissan? I use 3.04 V sofware.  in this version x300.hex work for all cars?

The FIC does not need to be in the car in order to install the software or connect to it. You will only need to connect to your laptop with the USB cable.

The base calibration shouldn't have any pin on it. Did you install the software from a CD or our website? If you've installed it from the CD, try to download it from our website.

I downloaded it from the site (the link at the first post). Installed and tried to open "Base Cal.fi6" file in the installation directory. And it asks me for an 8 digit PIN...

Please delete that calibration, then download and install a new copy of the FIC software. If it still asks for a password, send me an email and I will send you a calibration.

Tried to reinstall the app. The problem still stays. My laptop is runing WinXP.

But on the other machine (Win2k3 Virtual Machine) everything works fine, it does not ask for a pin while opening base cal... Tried to enter a different pin (11111111) to a calibration and copy it to my laptop and open from there - but it says that PIN (11111111) is invalid...

Seems to be a bug.

Not sure about the reason, maybe it is because of I had 2.01 and 3.04 installed in parallel on the laptop? But I tried to remove 2.01 clear the registry and reinstall 3.04 - the problem still stays...

Seems I'll have to find another laptop for FIC tuning.

Thank you Thank you
Finally a good connection with Vista home edition. Downloaded the drivers and updated software and reflashed it with the x300 and it connected. Now I have a running turboed car. Thank you  Admin. AEM for your continued effort to help your customers.
