Im trying to connect to a used unit I just got.  Im getting:
"FIC firmware version 1.31 is not compatible and must be updated!"

Ive already downloaded and installed version 3.04 as well.

I also have another unit, but there is no MAF reading going out?  Any advice?

Is there anyway I may be able to solve these two problems^^ myself??

You need to flash your FIC to firmware x300 if you're using version 3 software. If you're not getting a MAF voltage out, double check your wiring and make sure you're in percent mode under the setup menu.

Ok I will check the percent mode, im using a PnP harness, and checked all the continuity as well..thx

Ive read you need to flash but I cant figure how to do find where the x300 file is...sorry real big newb to this lol

im putting the fic into a hyundai tiburon and am running V.3.04. how do ik what slave chip i am running right now? how do you reflash?

I have solved this problem with passwords (even base_cal.fi6 asked me for a pin code earlier).

The resolution is here:

Open Control Panel
Open Regional And Language Options
Set Standards and formats to English (United States)

After this setting was set I was able to open a base_cal.fi6 file without any pincode. Earlier this setting was set to another value on my laptop.

hey guys im having a problem with a friend of mines fic (i havnt experianced this problem with my fic so thats why im asking)

we loaded fic ver 3.04 on his computer and flashed his fic with z104.hex cause he has an 06 scion tc. Then we tried to download a map that was already loaded on the fic to his computer.......so we get this error msg saying "firmware version  1.31 is not compatible and must be updated, refer to the reflashing section in the manual"........i assume he needs x300.hex flashed on his fic..is this correct? and wher can i find x300.hex?

You need to flash to x300 if you're using software v3.04. X300 is in your FIC folder in your computer if you have the software installed. C:\Program Files\AEM\FIC

I finally took my FIC out of the box (I've had it for a while) and decided to download the firmware.  I need the z110.hex and the x300.hex for my application.  Well I have searched this site and can not find them.  I went ahead and downloaded the V3.04 software thinking that the files might be included but as far as I can tell they are not.  I only see V1.04.hex file.  Would someone please let me know where I can find these files so I can download them.  huh Thanks.

The x300.hex and z110.hex firmware files will be installed to the C:\Program Files\AEM\FIC\ folder after you have installed the v3.04 FIC software.

I have downloaded and run the V3.04 software but I can not find either the z110.hex or x300.hex files.  If I try to reflash the FIC, the V3.04 dialog box wants the user to specify where the files are located, well I can't do that if they don't exist.  The only file I do have is the 1.04.hex file.  Is the z110.hex file part of the 1.04hex file?  If so, how do I specify which one gets flashed to the FIC?

Once you install the 3.04 software, all the hex files will be located at C:\Program Files\AEM\FIC\
You should have x131.hex, x300.hex, z104.hex, z107.hex and z110.hex
