I don't think my firmware has never been upgraded, and I am getting laptop/ECU disconnects and startup problems. I am wondering what is the latest and safest firmware that is compatible with my1012, and where I can download it?  I'm hoping that will at least fix some bugs.

ok found out what the problem was... some reason the software doesn't like Vista I used my sisters Win XP laptop and it connects like a charm! just need tune my startup now, but still would like to update the firmware if it cleans up some bugs.
will this V1.21 Firmware work with my 1012 ecu?

Vista has some program issues. It must be the reason. I don't know why but most developers said that Vista is still yet to be developed to free it from the bugs.

Do not use the 1.21 firmware, that is specifically for our 30-1220 EMS. Stick with the 1.19 firmware.
