The basemaps have been updated (including the new coil dwell settings) and there are now A/T and M/T specific basemaps.
The coil dwell problem was a bit of a suprise as the Supra ignitor handles the dwell itself and since we fed it a constant dwell and tested it across the "entire" rev range we figured we were OK. Of course, we stopped at 6,500-6,800 as that is the stock rev limit. Naturally, the problem shows up at 7K and above
The 5,000 rev-limiter that was showing up on M/T cars was caused by the A/T controls being activated on the basemap and M/T cars not needing this activated. In the past we have always used a common A/T & M/T basemap since there was no difference if the A/T was on but just before release we added the ignition retard function whenever the transmission shifted from either Neutral or Park to Reverse or Drive. Adding this meant a hardware change in the box to detect P or N and it was tested on an A/T car before release. But not on our M/T car as it "didn't apply". The base map had the A/T controls turned on as it always had and the result was it trying to shift at 5K RPM and the shift retard was causing the "soft rev limiter" above 5K.
Hence the selection of A/T or M/T base maps now.
Keep your comments coming. AZ is the programmer and he is 100% focused on AEMTuner so make sure he knows about any/all issues and we will get them addressed.

I might be in the dark on this one, but is there a way to do a mass change(%) to the fuel map without turning the car off? I couldn't find an option in preferences that allowed you to bypass that.
I will also try to send a screenshot of random crashes(dumps), that I have received while trying to update larger amounts of data(ex. +2 deg to ignition map>100kpa).
Overall, I am impressed with the subtle differences in idle control, drivability, and off boost running. I agree with the others on the scaling, although it is more of a nuisance than anything. Running the larger spark plug gap has greatly improved the marketability of the unit and I am sure the ignitor is a much happier fellow now

justinn, please check your xp sp version, is it SP2? I found out on a xp sp2 machine, doing some change on fuel map will crash the program. However, on my SP3 machine, it's fine. Anyway I've already put a fix in AEMTuner so it won't crash on xp sp2. New version will be available soon.

also, I noticed on the Vista pc, that I constantly get a message saying "It's a bad idea to rescale the entire, yada yada yada", is there a way to eliminate that message along with any other "safety" message?
You had also mentioned that you were going to include a couple different base calibrations... one for MT and one for AT to eliminate the initial timing retard at "x" rpm. Coil Dwell changed(anything sub 25). Also, take a close at the input and nitrous functionality as it appeared to wig out on me a couple of times. I would flip off the input switch(SW6) and the nitrous function would stay active(I assume since all of the other parameters were still valid). The only way to correct this was to restart the ecu(Key off). It could have been a setting that was too close, but I don't think so. I changed the parameters to activate at 0.2 throttle now as luckily I'm using that map for E85 and not N2O
Is there an integrated log viewer? I just use AEMLog; however, it will not prepopulate with the log when I "stop and save" the logging. That was a nice feature of AEM Pro.
Additionally, some of the 2d maps do not update visually until you hit an arrow key. The change has been made, it just does not reflect on the screen. Along the same lines, in the Nitrous tab(no changes made), the refresh on some of the parameters does not update unless you click on the screen.
Not meaning to thread jack guys, but I figure all of this is relevant to the Supra box.

Ok...My turn,
I using an xp, sp3 laptop.
So far I have had the lock up/dissapear when trying to change anything in the fuel map.
The fuel graph will occasionally lock up anthe arrow keys would just rotate it and you couldnt select a data point. I would have to switch to the text/grid view, click on any data point, move it with the arrow keys and voila...the graph would work again.
Next...the mystery 5XXXrpm rev limiter.
Knock sensor cal table is super low and I have had the knock control turn on between key cycles....now, the check box was not checked but I had knock retard/enrich happening while free revving the car...check the box and uncheck it again...problem solved.
Randomly the parameters would update slow, glitchy and delayed.
Idle motor would occasionally stop responding, sometimes it would return on its own, other times I had to cycle the key and wait for the main relay to shut down.
I managed to find all of these problems in the first 3hrs of my first series2 car...

Oh boy...MORE...
I had to bring dwell down to 70 across the board otherwise I had a 5200rpm soft touch rev limiter (dwell factor 20)
I have had various personalities at start-up...most frequently no Iac...then super rich conditions fixed only by checking and unchecking knock control.
From yesterday to today with no changes my first pull was 2 afr points leaner, and there are strange steps in injector duty that I can't seem to find.

My idle timing display is not matching my map idle. map says 16 ecu says 2 degrees. I reload the map works fine restart the car and its off again...grrrr Not happy about beta testing on my new motor thank you.
going back to 97a
update: I install 97a, any map that I opened with 97b seems to be now corupted with the timing issue. my other maps dont have this problem.

So far I have had the lock up/dissapear when trying to change anything in the fuel map.
Fixed in 0.97b Build 090723

You must have accidentally hit the hotkey for manual manipulation of the 3D graph. If you want to disable or change the hotkeys go to Tools | Preferences | Hotkeys

Yep, covered earlier in this very thread.

Fixed in 0.97b Build 090723. If you activate or deactivate major functions you have to reset the ECU for it to become active. This will be changed in the future so the ECU will be sent a reset signal automatically.

Same as above, it is looking for a hardware reset before it was accepting the change.

What ignition are you running? Are you running the latest transmission specific basemaps of the earlier one?

Everyone, Please do NOT post any more "bug reports" in this thread.
There is a 0.97b bug report thread here ==>
http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.php/topic,25220.0.html
and PLEASE read and FOLLOW the bug submission guidelines ==>
http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.php/topic,18794.0.html
We want to help you but without all the required information we CANT!
Also, Make sure you are using the LATEST BUILD of 0.97b. A new build fixing most of the known problems was posted on July 23rd.

Yes...my fault

Yep, covered earlier in this very thread.
A lot of these problems went away when I started from scratch with a fresh cal...not sure what or how, but it must have been corrupted somehow.

Good to know...is it fixed yet?

Knock template primarily, i would be watching the parameters and they would slow way down to maybe a sample every 3-5 sec.

I started originally with the earlier basemap. When I started from scratch I started with the new mt basemap. It seemed to fix most of the issues.

Again dissappeared with the new base cal
