I installed .97a and now can open my old 1.19 files for the first time (sort of).  Most things work but certain 2D tables do not open.  I get an error message that says ex: "The current 2D table display 'throttle fuel trim' is not supported in current calibtion, it won't be loaded in AEMtuner"  This happens randomly for about half of the various tables throughout a cal file.

I'm running XP and have the .Net 2.0 SP1 installed as it was a requirement for the previous release.  I am not sure if this is a bug or a problem at my end?

It's not a bug. It means the 2D table "throttle fuel trim" is existed ONLY in AEM25 calibrations. Basically the default workspace comes with AEMTuner is mainly designed for AEM25 calibrations, so that's why you receive that message.

Thanks for the reply but I don't quite get what you are saying.  So I can open a 1.19 file but most 2D tables aren't active which means I can't really do anything with these files (or attempt to run AEMtuner on my gen 1 1313 box correct)?  So basically, I still have no way of tuning a 1.19 on an actual first gen box with AEMtuner correct?

Hi Mike,

There are literally thousands of options, tables, and maps in every EMS calibration.  Each of them have unique names, and both AEMPro and AEMTuner open them based on these names. Many of the options, tables and maps have been renamed in the Series 2 EMS. For instance, we felt it would be better for people to simply type "coil 1"  to select that output from an options or channels list, rather than having to use the shift key and find which number is used for the blasted '#' sign to type in Coil #1. On the original ECUs, there is a table called "Air Temp Fuel Corr", I'm pretty sure the Corr stands for Correction as opposed to Correlation but "Air Temp Fuel Trim" makes more sense and uses fewer characters. Throttle Fuel Trim, Boost Fuel Trim, and Baro Fuel Trim are a few other examples of names that have been updated... the current workspace for AEMTuner won't open these tables because they don't exist (using that name) in the old calibrations.

For now, AEMTuner doesn't have a workspace that uses the old names for 100% compatibility with the old units. For the time being we're focusing on improving the interface for the new units but please don't worry because are planning to make it work with the old ones as well.

Thanks,
SB

Thanks for the clarification.  It now registers with me grin  I did not realize it was just the way the things were named vs there really not being a long term solution for remapping to these tables.  I'll stand by.  Thanks!

Another question.  This post is actually very helpful.  I am trying to convert my 1.19 to 1.04tuner?? and I get a list of about 200 items that the names don't match exactly.  "unconverted items" and it says I can manual set or copy... is there an easier way to do this?

good question. We're working on the conversion script for v119 to 1.04 and it's almost done. The "Auto" mode will be available in next release.

BTW: the workspace will also be updated to handle 1.19 cals. Be sure to check out the next release!
