Hello guys,

Will these two applications happily co-exist on the same machine? Or will AEMTuner attempt to 'upgrade' the AEMPro and move things around in the registry, etc.

Also, has anyone reported any issues of updating/downgrading the firmware between AEMTuner and AEMPro. Example: if someone upgraded to AEMTuner(0.97), and realized there were too many quirks and had to downgrade back to an AEMPro cal 1.19.

The two programs can exist on the same machine with no special action required by the end user. They dont share any registry information or other setup options.

How about upgrading / downgrading firmware on the EMS?
Does the AEMTuner require a firmware update beyond what is available for the AEMPro? ...Or is this strictly a UI preference.

Do you have the Gen 1 or Gen 2 box??

If you have the Gen 1, then anything related to AemTuner will not work.

If you have the Gen 2, then anything related to Aem Pro will not work. If you try to upload a 1.19 Gen 1 cal to the Gen 2 box you will have to convert the cal first.

I have the Gen 1 box.  sad  Do they have a trade-in deal on the Gen 2?

Are you sure that AEMTuner won't work with the Gen1 ems? There isn't anything that really states that anywhere on the forums or in the documentation. I saw some disclosure about the Gen2 and how it won't work with the AEMPro, but no information about the Gen1 and the AEMTuner.

They may want a more prominent disclosure if the AEMTuner isn't backwards compatible... but seeing that it can actually read the 1.19 cal, and supports Serial Port connectivity: I assumed that it would work fine.
