The disc that came with my 30-1900U EMS loaded AEMPro  and AEMPro-Classic onto my computer.  I see there is also an AEM Tuner software available for download here on the forums.
which should I use?
and what are the differences between the three different tuning softwares?

AEMPro should be your software of choice until aemtuner has all bugs worked out.

AEMClassic is used with the series 1 EMS's running firmware versions prior to 1.00
AEMPro is used for 1.01 and later series 1 EMS's (1.01 up through 1.22)
AEMTuner is for the Series2 EMS.

not yet you can't.  it hasn't exactly been specified if you ever will.  i'd expect not to be able to.  the new software is for the new ems.

30-1900U  Universal EMS (Race Box) with "1902 Hemi Mod"   and AEM Twin Fire CDI are installed, and am now trying to connect.

"no File For ECU Version"  message keeps popping up.  I presume I need to update the software AND the firmware???
what's sort of confusing to me is that I bought the EMS and installed the CD that came with it...

It does connect,  as I get a "online" when I attempt to connect.  and also:

"     found ECU type 'AEM15GEN' version 'V1.19'        "

My current AEMPro version is 3.18R29
version 3.18.29.152
AEMcoms version 1.25.1.39
Emerald version 1.46.1.876
minimum Emerald Version  1.46.1.0

then it says  OS WIN NT Version 5.1 build 2600
      service pack 3

I'm running windows XP though???

Well,  my download just finished, so I'm going to update AEMPro to the latest,  and then try to figure out how to update my firmware so that both software and hardware are the same versions.

Words cannot describe how anxious I am to see the EMS and softare connected so I can begin configurations and (hopefully) get this car out of the shop and onto the road Wink

Any advice or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

By the way, some of you may realize it has taken me nearly 3 months to complete the installation.  I have a very nice milspec harness,  and everything is done exactly the way I want,  but if anyone were to ask whether I'd recommend building a harness or buying one?  -without a doubt, BUY the wiring harness!
