Hello,
I recently installed an AEM uego wide band 02.

I think the gauge is reading accurately some of the time, but it frequently bounces - spiking to either full rich or full lean.
If I look at my megasquirt logs, it looks like a very noisy signal, with many readings that are implausible.

The gauge will spike when engine load and throttle position are held constant.

I've re-crimped the ground wire.  Any other ideas on debugging this issue?
Thanks,
Jim

try eliminating any crimp connections.  how are you powering the UEGO and where is it grounded?

I use the Paris Hilton tuning method: rich and retarded.

Trying grounding it through as isolator as the Uego recommends.  Every wideband I have run had that problem without an isolator.  Also try to pull a clean IGN 12V not jumpered off anything else.

Make sure you have a clean ground directly to the chassis. Power should never be tapped from a cigarette lighter, radio, ECU, etc. Make sure it has a good direct power source either from a fuse box or ignition.

If none of this makes a difference, try powering the gauge directly from your battery.

Also perform the test found in the How-To section of the forum to make sure your sensor is still functioning correctly.
