M1 is pure (~99%) methanol and really should be the only type of methanol used with water/methanol mixes.  M3 and M5 usually have some kind of petroleum based additive that's used as a "top lube".  Methanol has very low lubricity which can lead to accelerated wear on moving parts so the top lube, which is basically a specially formulated oil, is used to decrease wear and increase performance.  Because the top lube is more or less an oil is doesn't mix well with water.  You really only need M3 or M5 if you're using methanol as your primary fuel.  As a secondary fuel, M1 works fine when mixed with water.

To the best of my knowledge methanol of any type is highly toxic and flammable.  Always follow standard safety guidelines when handling methanol.

Would you mix M1 and Water at a 50/50 mix? And how much better is Methanol to Alky mix?

ONLY USE M1
Yes M1 mixes well with water, I am doing that now on my setup.

DO NOT USE M3 or M5 it will damage seals in your pump.
