I have purchased a used AEM EMS for my 1991 NSX. The serial number is  1002-0123 so I think it's model number is 30-1002.

Anyway I've used site search for 1002 and 30-1002 but no luck.

Can you please help with pointer to manuals for this early model AEM EMS

Also, can I use latest version of AEMPro software with this older unit? If not, can you point me to appropriate older version please.

thank you

Attached are the instructions for the 1002 EMS.  AEMPro can be used with EMS's using v1.00 and higher.  The latest version is v1.19.  BTW all the instructions are included in the download of the latest version of AEMPro.

Many thanks NS, that's good news that  I can (probably) use latest AEMPro.

What's best way to find out version of my EMS ? ... the label on outside of EMS says Rev "D" mods "A" no mention of version

The REV/MOD sticker won't tell you anything. You'll need to connect to the EMS and have it download the calibration file on there. This is the only way to tell which firmware version you're on, either 1.19, 1.11, 1.03, etc. You'll see the version displayed on the title bar of AEMPro.

The latest release of AEMPro will support most of the older firmware versions. Anything older than firmware 1.0 will require AEMPro Classic.

You can always reflash the EMS to the latest firmware version.

excellent, thanks "specialed".

Is the most current firmware version for my older EMS (1002) and the newer series EMS for Honda NSX (1042) the same? or do they use different firmware altogether ?
