IS it possible to run an AEM/LS1 coil setup on a SBF? The class I am building a car for will not allow MSD Digital 7 boxes, but didn't say the AEM systems are illegal. I am really trying to find a way to utilize ICT capabilities with my carb/nitrous program.

If it is possible what hardware would I need to accomplish this? The car no longer has the factory wiring harness in the car.

Hopefully the AEM will be a solution.

 Thanks

I'm assuming you have to use a carb for the class?

The easiest would prob to be use an EFI harness, wire in the sensors, wire up the coils, use an EPM and just don't use the injectors.  You could still data log all your sensors, have 02 logging, (obviously can't closed loop it) but you could also add knock sensors etc for timing, use the boost control if you're boosted, trac etc.  I don't see any reason why the car wouldn't run without the injectors hooked up and using a carb...

I have not, nor have I seen this tried by anyone before, but I personally think it'd work.

it'd probably work but it'd be the world's most overly capable and expensive ignition system ever.
