I successfully tuned a car this last weekend using Windows 7 Professional running on a MacBook Pro and using a Keyspan USB-Serial converter to connect to a 1052 box.  Windows 7 brings some neat features like the ability to have two windows automatically resized side by side (AeroSnap does the same for WinXP and Vista and is a free download).  I was successful and never booted into Windows XP to finish tuning, though it wasn't without a few problems popping up.

The Keyspan USB to serial converter worked great in 64 bit Win 7.

Saving calibrations and log files was interesting.  AEMPro shows the files being saved to the default AEM installation folder, but in Windows 7 they aren't really saved there.  You need admin rights to edit anything in the program files directory.  It seems that Windows 7 saves them to a user data file.  I was able to open the files from AEM Pro as if they were in the right directory even though Windows Explorer (and search) showed them elsewhere.  Finally, I manually copied them from the search results window back into the appropriate directories.  An easier solution may be to save them to a 'Documents' folder where the user has full read/write access.

Other than the bug with saving files, AEM Pro did have a few issues now and then.  It lost connection and/or froze a few times.  The problems were easily solved by restarting the program, but were a bit annoying.

Will there be an update to AEM Pro to bring it into line with Windows 7?  The bugs aren't show stoppers for a part time tuner, but for every day use they would be incredibly frustrating.  I do have Windows XP on another partition (yes, I triple boot Snow Leopard, 32 bit XP Home, and 64 bit Win 7), but I'm trying to test all of my tuning software with Windows 7 now before Windows XP is finally killed off for good.  Any programs that aren't Windows 7 compatible will probably be moved to the WinXP virtual machine that comes free with windows 7 Professional and Ultimate so that I can remove my WinXP partition.

If AEM Pro won't be updated for Win7, will AEM Tuner be updated for Win7 with the older boxes?  Thanks.

Just an FYI.
When I run AEMPro on my Win7 x64 box, I set the application compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3 and I have no problems with the app as described above. With the default settings, I do get errors on close but only occasionally.
