Question about the warning light in the kit, not the one on the controller.  What is its job?  My kit happened to be missing the led light so I wired it to a light that i have on the dash.  But with no water in the tank, my gray wire does not ground out.  So I wanted to know what is its job or do I have something wrong?

The GREY wire coming from the controller mirrors the output of the internal LED in the controller housing.  So, when hooked up correctly you'll see the external LED doing the same thing as the internal LED.  Now, when there is an error, the LED will display the error diagnostic code ie 1 blink for low fluid, 2 blinks for open circuit, 3 blinks for short circuit, and 4 blinks for high/low voltage condition.  During normal operation the LEDs will increase in intensity as pump duty cycle increases.

The GREEN wire is the actual error output wire.  This wire will go to ground anytime one of the four errors is detected.

Where can I buy a replacement light? Do they work off of 5V?
