All my computers run on XP or XPP,  but I was wondering about loading the windows tablet version OS  or perhaps even a netbook on Linux.  Are these all compatible with AEM software?

I suppose the sticky I just read confirms the incompatibility with Linux (and Apple / Mac)

As for the tablet versions of Windows though, I'd like to know if there are any known compatibility issues before I "upgrade"
thanks

As for the notion of picking up a netbook, is anyone here using one?  There seems to be little need for massive computing power (with AEM software)  If I recall correctly, it works with some really archaic PC's, so the minimalistic specs of some of the smaller netbooks I have seen would work fine (with a USB to serial adapter)  right?

I picked up a couple Panasonic toughbooks, vehicle dock, auxiliary monitor and auxiliary keyboards.  -really cool system for a carputer...  like the setups that Police and EMS use.
But if you read any of my threads,  either in this forum or in Universal EMS forum,  I am having real problems getting AEM to work with my "new" laptop and am exploring other options.

any suggestions or advice are most welcome
