How to use TFI wiring for the EPM, that is the question.  What wires?  Are they the same color when they exit the harness a the EEC?  Did you power and ground it off them too?  What wire is the "shielded" one and what do I use that for.

Thanks!

the epm has two separate outputs for cam and crank while the old tfi setup has only one so you've got some wire moving to do.  the epm needs a constant key-on power source so you need to check and see if the run power pin still has 12 volts during cranking.  if it does then you can use it to power the epm.  if it doesn't then you need to find something that is powered during cranking.

if you look through the 1400 instructions you'll find that pin 56 on the ems is your pip input which will be used for the crank input so connect the pip wire to pin 1 (yellow) on the epm.  there is no cam input to the ems so you need to add one to pin 66 and connect it to pin 3 (white) on the epm.  since you won't be using the spout wire any more de-pin it from the ems and move it over to pin 66 and connect the tfi side of the wire to pin 3 on the epm.  then use the ignition ground wire as your ground on the epm (pin 2, black).  the pip, spout, and ignition ground wire are all already shielded back to the case gound so no additional shielding should be needed.

the 1400 only has four coil drivers so you'll be running waste spark.  look at the instructions to find the necessary coil output pins.  don't forget to change your cam/crank sensor wizard to epm.

also, if you don't feel comfortable doing something like this then I HIGHLY recommend you take this to a pro.  the last think you want is ****ed up cam/crank signals.
