I've searched these forums and have been googling, but come up with nothing. So I'm trying my luck here, and maybe this will help someone else too since the answer doesn't seem easily accessible.

Up front my question is: are the Grey and White wire locations on the "Connector Pinout" diagrams on any of the Analog Gauge install instructions incorrectly switched in the diagrams? And if they are switched, does that mean that the White wire is still the Analog + output as stated and the grey goes to the Instrument Lighting as stated?

A little more background -

I am currently installing the new AEM Analog Boost and UEGO Wideband gauges (Part #'s 30-5132 and 30-5130, respectively), the ones seen in this picture.

Figure 6. in both sets of instructions depict the connector pinouts for the "8-pin power harness" as this:

R P Gr B
R W Br B

However, when I look at the wire connectors in my hands, the pinouts are like this:

R P W B
R Gr Br B

There is another thing I want to add on a related note, but not part of the my question.... I have figured out that the Connector Pinout diagram in Figure 6. for the Analog Boost gauge that depicts the orientation and relation of the two different wire connectors is backwards and upside down.

The Instructions show the 3-pin sensor harness and 8-pin power harness as so ( - indicates plastic slots on connector, | is to depict separation between the two connectors):

-     - | R P Gr B
Gr B R | R W Br B

What I found odd is that due to the plastic slots on the outside of the connectors, it is only possible to plug them in one direction (i.e. it's impossible to plug them in backwards). So, after comparing how they plug in and also note that the Grey and White wires are switched as above, the correct pinout diagram for Figure 6. seems it should look like this:

R P  W B | Gr B R
R Gr Br B | -     -

Anyone else notice this? Thoughts?

Wow, good eye.  Yes, the power harness connector is incorrect in the instructions but it is correct on the actual harness.  And yes, the index on the 3 pin sensor harness connector should be pointing down in the instructions but the actual harness is correct.  We recently found this error ourselves and the instructions have been updated for all future gauges.  Thanks.
