So the question is-do you ever notice momentary upspikes towards a lean AFR on the UEGO? And what typically causes them?

I *may* possibly have a misfire condition with my car that is showing up on the wideband.  What I've done here is log the AEM wideband output on my emanage/e01.  Sorry for the bad cell phone pics:

I'm trying to figure out if what I'm seeing is an artifact (perhaps due to electrical noise) or a true misfire condition. It's shown on both the guage as well as the output line which I logged in real time.  The car is at idle in these pics.  The bottom axis is time (20 seconds long) and the vertical axis is A/F ratio (11 on bottom, 19 on top.) See those brief upspikes overlying the normal cycling of the wideband? So you see it sometimes happens once every 8-10 seconds. Here's a normal tracing with no events:

If this is a misfire, it's not something I can sense at idle. I don't hear it or feel it. And when I'm accelerating, I feel like there *might* be a misfire, but it's almost below my threshold to detect because of the feel of the suspension/low profile tires that make the car feel bumpy already. I just can't tell. Just FYI, the car is a 1999 nonturbo eclipse.  I've changed spark plugs, the coil pack, and changed wires, but the spikes are still there.

TIA!

I double checked the ground and V+12 wire to the gauge, and they are fine.

It appears this phenomena happens when the car/gauge are cold.  If I've been driving a while, especially any freeway driving, the spikes will not appear at idle.

I've received comments on other boards that this is common with the AEM UEGO.  Are there any solutions to get rid of  this noise?

i've never seen this happen on any of the aem uegos that i've installed.  one way to check is to compare it to a tail pipe sniffer on a dyno.  if the dyno uego does it then you know it's not the aem gauge.
