Well i been tuning alot of the aem fic's on various cars. Ive notices a certain trend with these maybe some others have as well?

If i log boost using a external logger boost will say be steady at 13 psi maybe with a spike near redline..  yet on the aem logger it will be jumping a pound or two! This is a problem because its jumping on the timing map and fuel map!

i can post a aemlog file so you can see! And on this exact run my logger showed steady boost!

Sorry no o2 on this run.

I was woundering if some sort of Vaccum line reducer could help the box from being jumpy or if theres any suggestions!

This is on everycar ive tuned with fic. not just one!

I was having this same issue in my 07 TC.  What I did was use the vacuum filter that comes with the HKS SSQV between the vac source and the FIC.  It reads SOO much smoother now, and there is no ill effects that I have seen using it.  I am reading the right boost pressure at peak boost, my fuel and ignition curves are WAY better now than they have ever been.  My AFR is rock steady now.  It is much easier to tune the FIC now.  Hopefully this helps anybody having engine load fluctuations of 1-3 psi during spool up and full boost.  I am wondering if this is something AEM might want to include in their kits to fix this type of issue, if it has to do with the FIC.  It might just be car specific.  I could be wrong, but were these TC's that you were tuning?
