First off: I understand driving untuned = dumb. With that said the car goes on the dyno next week.

Here is my question.

I drove the car to the shop the other day to get some exhaust work done (this isnt the issue), I left my house and I made a right turn onto the main road and start going, everything great and fine, ecu is doing its thing, great. I make the next turn and I had to of either hit the cross over point to from 'closed loop to open loop' or made some kinda boost cuz the car hesitated and stumbled and the wideband went nuts on me. So i pulled over and sat there for a minute taking this all in and wishing I was logging this information. So i start driving again, and went error free, granted i didnt try to get this problem to come back as i figured it was caused by being not tuned. But i figured some FI/C guru could tell me im right or im crazy.

PS. the car runs, idles, drives, revs fine (no load) like it should from factory. Im boosted, 440cc injectors, big 255lph walbro pump so yes im getting lots O fuel when it crosses the switching point.

So cliffs:
drive car
build boost or to much TPS and the ecu switchs to open loop
car hesitates and stumbles and w/b goes crazy
pull over and sit for a minute
start driving again and no more problem ever

Smiley

Cheers

Thanks

I need more information on your setup to give you any kind of an answer on this problem.

Im guessing youre asking if youre fine? or asking if your theory is correct?
if so then yes youre fine. It more than likely stumbled because your car is obd2 and the short term fuel trims fought against the AFR at the point where you built boost. Mine does that all the time. Ive been driving untuned for 3 months now.  Trying to figure out the o2 skew on this thing but its ****ing me off to no end! obd2 for the LOSE.

so yeah, as long as your car runs and drives fine then youre fine, just try and stay outta boost. Sounds like you experienced a misfire.
