AEM integration w/ PLX r500

I have a plx R 500 that does data logging. I am only using it for wideband O2 right now w/ my aem 1600 in my 240sx. I'd like to tap rpm, throttle position, map, & veh speed, so I can data log these and have the display show them. Is there any risk that tapping them from the ecu wiring will cause an issue w/ my aem ? From what ive read if im understanding correctly I can just strip part of the wire back, and solder right to them? suggestions?
