INSTALLATION1. Download the installer from here:
ftp://aem:a3m@216.23.176.210/cust/AEMTuner_v0.99c.exe2. Double click AEMTuner v0.99c.exe, follow the wizard to install.
3. By default, the installer will install sample calibrations and a sample workspace. Be sure to select them if this is your first time setup.
2010-03-18 Update: Conversion Scripts1. BE SURE TO ONLY USE THE FOLLOWING CONVERSION SCRIPTS, available from here:
ftp://aem:a3m@216.23.176.210/cust/AEMTuner_Conversion_Script_Update_2010-03-15.zip2. unzip the file into your "AEMTuner folder\Scripts\Conversion\" folder and replace all old files.
Note:
Please note that some of the scripts included will convert generic V1.19 calibrations so they work with Series 2 firmware.
This conversion process will not account for pinout and/or function assignment differences between old and new PnP units (for instance additional Coil channels on 30-6100 Supra EMS units, and some switch inputs have been moved to different pins on the ECU connector). For more info, please check the PnP instructions for your EMS.
There are a few options and tables that use different sets of breakpoints or units than the Series 1 firmware. Please double-check these before attempting to run the vehicle:
RPM Offset vs TPS, Boost Fuel Trim, Boost Target VSS
Main Relay switched input logic has been changed and may not be auto-converted correctly. For most PnP applications that control the main relay (6100, 6300, 6310, 6320) this should be set to Switch 1 12V = ON
Idle PW Duty Max was set to 0% in some Series 1 calibrations and that firmware would ignore this. Series 2 firmware does not ignore this number so it must be set to a high value if using an pulsewidth-style (2- or 3-wire) idle solenoid.
- How to Install USB Driver?
1. Connect to EMS and power on.
2. After Windows pops up "Found new hardware", choose to install driver from the following place:
[Default] C:\Program Files\AEM\AEMTuner\USB Drivers (Series 2)For EMS firmware version 01v11 or below, if you want to connect, you should install the driver and swap the dll. You can find the instructions from "Old USB Drivers" folder under your AEMTuner installation folder. Once you have driver installed, go to "Control Panel" -> "Device Manager", there should be a "LibUSB-Win32 Devices" device.
For EMS firmware version 01v12, there is
NO need to install USB driver. Windows will recognize EMS natively (as Human Interface Device under Device Manager).
