I fed my MAF data to the spreadsheet and it gave me an equation (y = 99.115x2 - 196.75x + 151.83). What in the world do I do with this? I'm assuming I use it to convert the KG/Hr data I have but I'm not sure where this goes on that spreadsheet.

Hi, could someone post more detail on this for the slow people like me.  I have a 30 point for my mass air, but the AEM software will not allow my numbers to be entered.  Professional Mass Air Systems tells me at 5 volts my flow in lb/min is 55.18 the software will not go past 13.18.  I downloaded SA's spreadsheet and it only allows for 25 points.  I put them in anyway and got the equation, but now how do I apply it.  I know the voltage points are set in the AEM and thought this would convert my numbers to something I could use.  Please give me a hand.  I have not worked with this kind of math in 25 years and I was not paying great attention back then.

Hi again,

I load my MAF data in the left two columns and it chages the top graph, but nothing happens in the M and N columns on the right.  Is something wrong with the file or do I need to apply the formula to column N?  I know I can't change the volts in the AEM, but I did see in the thread you listed how to get it to accept the higher values.

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Scott,

You need to enter your data into the "M" & "N" columns after you get the
flowsheet converted to 33 points...
If you have the complete flowsheet data send it to me and I will try to
get it converted tonight as I have somethings I need to get done for Paul
also...

I know this must be becoming tiring.  So, all the speadsheet does is convert kg/hr to the other various formats that AEM does use for input.  I thought it would adjust my maf information to the voltage breaks used by AEM.  I already have my maf info in lb/min.  So, I just need to follow the instructions for getting the higher values loaded to closest votage brakes.  Or have I fallen out of the boat and missed the water.

Thanks

Here is my maf data. I made the changes to AEM software and now I can get the larger amounts in.  It is just the volts and the 33 points.  I figure, I can guess and smooth the curve for the 3 points I don't have, but the voltage is bothering me. Let me know if I am being an idiot and thanks again for the help.

Just to let you know I sent the converted 30 point maf sheet numbers to Clint
to have him do the 33 point to make sure that we agree on the numbers...Cheesy

Well got it as close as possible to the calibration of the meter.
Big thanks to Clint for checking me and the software...

I have attached a couple of files for you to look at...
Note it will "require tuning" after you get this setup as the
AEM software is a little strange on the way that it does the
maf curve/table.... undecided

Hope this helps.

Is it time for a map sensor?
